Nes-Ziona, Israel, November 24, 2018 – Enlivex Therapeutics, Ltd., a clinical-stage immunotherapy company, today announced that the Australian Patent Office (IP Australia) issued a notice of allowance for a patent application covering ALLOCETRA™, the company’s immunotherapy product. Upon issuance, the new patent will provide added intellectual property protection, including methods, uses and pharmaceutical compositions. The company expects that this new patent will be issued in Australia during 2019.
ALLOCETRA™ was designed to provide a novel immunotherapy mechanism of action that targets life-threatening clinical indications that are defined as “unmet medical needs”, including prevention or treatment of complications associated with bone marrow transplantations (BMT) and/or hematopoietic stem cell transplantations (HSCT); organ dysfunction and acute multiple organ failure associated with Sepsis; and enablement of an effective treatment of solid tumors via immune checkpoint rebalancing.
